LCM | Trends and Highlights - SS15 Menswear Review (Burberry Prorsum, Jonathan Saunders, DKNY, Christopher Kane, Hackett, Moschino and Tiger of Sweden)

Starting with London, the Mens Collection of Spring Summer 2015 paved way for an electric and powerful burst of colour. Summer is a great time for out of the box innovation because styles can be a little more daring, colourful and fresh. Great shows from Burberry Prorsum, Jonathan Saunders, DKNY, Christopher Kane, Hackett, Moschino and Tiger of Sweden showed that this season's trendiest pieces are of denim, bright colours (yellow) and sneakers.

Burberry Prorsum
The highlight was of course Burberry Porsum which season after season remained fresh and innovative. A label not resting on its history and branding, so claps for always being a leader in contemporary fashion. The brand is still playing around with brightly coloured leather pieces and the bags were the focus.

Jonathan Saunders
As always, making the best use of colours and prints, this season's Jonathan Saunders showroom was packed full of versatile and fun pieces. Vibrant colours and subtle blends of metallics add interest to the collection. Favourite favourite - the flakey blue/black bomber jacket.

DKNY
It was a little underwhelming to see the DKNY collection at LCM (although I love DKNY) because it was a little out of place. The collection was much more laidback with that 90s NY vibe since DKNY's last collection.

Christopher Kane
Christopher Kane's lookbook is what I look forward to season after season. I love and will probably always love his obssession with science and technology. Although this season is quite similar to the last, the pieces in this one will last much longer in your wardrobe. The graphics and lines this time around is less in your face and is still futurist but can be quite classic.

Hackett
Super interested in Hackett since their collaboration with Aston Martin where it unveiled luxe sporty pieces that were quintessentially British. The Summer Hackett gentleman prefers lawn and garden parties. Beautiful weekender bags for short getaways, arriving always in style. The styling was great - I loved the tucked bandana! That suede bomber jacket was so good too.

Moschino
You've probably seen many parodies of international fashion houses by smaller labels (GIVE IT TO ME, CHANNEL, HOMBRES) but at Moschino, this season's look on fauxshion is interesting for an international designer itself. Moschino is always loud and powerful and this season it's a bit more fun than usual. The parody to the Louis Vuitton classic print and Chanel are smart and tasteful fitting to this label's personality (along with Versace vibes running throughout). However, I do think that in this way, Moschino's strongest game is in its accessories.

Tiger of Sweden
One of my favourite runways (suprisingly) at LCM this time around. Tiger of Sweden pushed out some very classic and versatile pieces for SS. It remained cool and fresh however with the great styling of the shows. The box pixel print is mesmerising and the floral shirt update was very smart. There were just so many good pieces at this show!
