Gucci to launch new sunglasses with James Franco

Celebrated actor and filmmaker James Franco is the new face of Gucci Eyewear as it prepares to launch its Black Bamboo sunglasses in October (AW13) this year. This campaign of the exquisitely crafted update to the previously launched Bamboo sunglasses in SS13 was shot by powerhouse photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. With its 70s inspired metal frame, bamboo cane detail (one of the House's most distinct motifs) and timeless elegance, James Franco rocks the look in this vintage-inspired shoot. The glasses are updated with a sleek modern design and colour. With this, Gucci is reminding the world of the Italian luxury and expert craftsmanship the brand is famous for.

Super excited for the release of these as an update to the beautiful Bamboo sunglasses last year. The shoot looks great, selling the design and updated look. Really liking the accents of the glasses which highlight its features and shiny metal frame.
