NYFW | Romantic Parade - Zac Posen SS14 Review

Okay, the last designer post I will do for New York Fashion Week. Of course I save the best for last. Zac Posen creates stunning gowns for A-List celebrities and this season, the fashion was very frenchy, soft and romantic. Flowy dresses, sheer fabric, soft colours, flower embroidery and at times bright, rich pieces really make the collection luxurious.

The show was naive and innocent - models with flowers in their messy hair, big, beautiful pleats, and sheer garments. The show was also very simple - the dresses did all the talking. Have a look at the runway looks here.

The show opened by his good friend and super, supermodel Coco Rocha. The pieces were all extremely beautiful and elegant. The pleats and draping were effortlessly classy. There's so much volume in the garments the eyes don't know where to look.

These pieces are great because they interact with movement. The fabrics chosen, cutting and sewing choices make the garments dance when models walk down the catwalk. There's romance between the wearer and the garment. Aside from dresses, the silver floral skirt is really good. Beautiful.
